Call me a heretic if you wish, but while I admire air-cooled 911s, I wouldn't actually want to own one. I like a little more width and a little less screwy pedal placement.

Being floor hinged doesn't bug me as much as the offset to the right, and the dead pedal which is way too close to you compared to the pedals. With the seat adjusted so I can reach the pedals, I sure do have to bend my knee a lot when putting my left leg bag on the dead pedal.

(The one I drove also had a transmission that was in poor shape, especially the shifter. So I was struggling with shifting in general.)

I remember looking at 930s a few years ago. $30,000 for really nice ones. 911 prices are just ridiculous and make me like every generation but the 996* less every time I see them.
